Meet Elaine
Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist
Elaine O’Flaherty is a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist at Physio Matters, with extensive experience in the holistic management of clients with catastrophic injuries and long-term neurological conditions. Since qualifying in 2008, Elaine has worked across NHS and private sectors, including roles at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, treating clients in acute hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and community settings.
Elaine completed her MSc in Neurological Rehabilitation in 2025, further strengthening her clinical expertise and leadership in complex case management. She is skilled in coordinating care for individuals with both physical and cognitive challenges, ensuring personalised and effective rehabilitation pathways.
Elaine combines manual therapy, exercise programmes, and education to empower clients in their recovery. Her approach is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to helping people regain independence and improve quality of life.
