Senior Neuro Physio Joins the Team

We are happy to welcome Eleanor Jones as a Senior Neurological Physiotherapist to Physio Matters, as another new starter joins our team!

These include working with Central Manchester University Foundation Trust, with the Therapy and Falls Team at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and with the Adult Learning Disability Team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Trust.

Professional skills

Eleanor qualified from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2016 with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy and has since built up her professional experience and skills. These include holistically assessing daily functions within the home and improving quality of life, prioritising and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to provide efficient services, and setting SMART goals to motivate patients throughout and between sessions.

Additional training

She has attended a range of courses including a four-day course on Posture Management for Adults and Children with Complex Disabilities and a Rebound Therapy Training Course. She has also attained Sports Massage Level 5 and has ongoing learning in Makaton Sign Language.

Eleanor said: “I’m looking forward to helping clients identify their goals and exceed their own expectations, and making rehab as fun as possible. I’m also keen to get involved with the Physio Active programme at Physio Matters, and the different sports available especially adapted skiing.”

Hobbies

In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys cooking and keeping active through yoga and the gym. She is also an enthusiastic quiz attendee!
