Walking Netball

Walking Netball is a popular walking sport. It is a slower version of the game, played with adjusted rules so that players participate at walking pace with no running or jumping.

It offers a form of regular physical activity as well as fun, camaraderie, team spirit and health benefits. For some, it can be a stepping stone back into playing netball which they enjoyed at school but have not taken part in since.

Walking Netball is suitable for people with many types of conditions. Our physios work alongside trained leaders in sessions which are organised by England Netball and available across the country. Our Physio Assistant Katy Parrott is also undertaking the Level 1 Assistant Coach Qualification in Walking Netball run by England Netball, and will soon be an expert!

This activity is also beneficial if you want to meet new friends or socialise as it is a team sport, so there are many people to talk to and get to know who are involved in the training and netball matches.

Improves mobility, balance, confidence and social interaction.
